I'm making plans to go to the Miami Bellydance Convention in August. It'll be my 1st bellydance convention so I wondering if anyone has gone before and if anyone is going this year...

This is Miami first convention. I did go to the convention in Las Vegas last year. Not so good
However, I do not expect the same for Miami, I expect nothing but a great show and great workshops especailly since there are lots of talente dancers and great teachers in that area, Im super excited to go.
I woud definetly encourge all to go. The hotel looks great, the workshops great instructors and after party etc
So come on down (smile) -

You will get confirmation of payment, you can also pay for the workshops as well as performances all on the site.

Yeah, I had paid and got a confirmation but I thought that there would be more to it. Like they would send something to fill out or I would get confirmation for the convention people themselves. Maybe I'm paranoid. It's my first time using paypal for something outside of ebay. Thanks for the help. -

Just hold onto the paper confirmation from ebay in the meantime to show proof of payment.
If I hear more, I will let you know.
Will you be staying the entire weekend? Which workshops did you sign up for.

I'm definitely going to Ahava's workshop and I'm trying for Yamil on Saturday. I'm also interested in Maya, Faten, Daniela, Zahra, and Sevdiah. So many people so little time...

Sun, May 24, 2009 - 7:29 PMLOL!!! That's oki. I did go last year and it was great so I would recommend it. I would go this year but I don't have the funds to do so :-( On a side note, in terms of food I would go to the near by food court. The hotel food is way expensive...

Yes I plan to go, my girl Saidi is dancing and many other greats. I just emailed them to let them know I want to perform.
So it's not to late ladies to perform. I hope you do, we need you. Have you gone to the website? The hotel was a reasonable price for miami. Food was expensive, but lots of stores in the area to eat. I didnt get out much last ime, but hopefully this year.
Let me know, so we can definetly meet up and exchange numbers to meet.
The performance list is filling up I know, so dont delay (smile)
