I'm trying to help a friend in Sacramento find a beginning bellydance class. She's never taken dance classes but has been wanting to start bellydancing for years. I'd like to help her find an encouraging environment, preferably with a full-bodied teacher and not a stick figure. Can anyone help?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Re: Sacramento classes?
03/06I want to encourage you to try out several teachers here in Sacramento to try and increase your chances of finding a dancer whose teaching style you enjoy. Look for a teacher that gives you a strong foundation but when you reach a certain level encourages you to find your own style so we won't have little carbon copy dancers all over Sac. Two other suggestion I recommend are Mychelle (mychelledancer.com) and Amayla (sp?) and Red Tent bellydance. They are professionals who are actually still dancing. Mychelle teaches at a very nice studio in the Pocket area. Hope to see you there!
